Nora - 01/15/2021

Nora ate two servings of brown rice and two servings of raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of salmon, ate whole wheat dinner roll, riced cauliflower, and three servings of mangoes.  Meal conversation: Atley said, "My Mom told me Lexi's favorite day is Valentine's Day.  Because Lexi loves loves."  :)

I took this first picture shortly after Nora and Miles arrived this morning.  I was on the couch and Nora was talking to me.  However, that mirror has a strong attraction and she kept looking at the cute girl in the mirror.  She knew I was chuckling about it; I'm making that judgment by her expression!!  Haha.

Next picture:  Nora appears to be using her telescope to scrutinize the activities across the table.  Ha!  Following picture:  Nora was very serious in explaining her piece of art.  She said, "Gary, this is a tree.  This tree is for standing up outside and people can look at it."  I like how the holiday themes continue to linger long after the actual celebrations.  

Avi and Nora worked on this large floor puzzle together.  After they completed it Nora then worked on it by herself and completed it again!  Good job Nora.  I love that she's now willing to struggle with the more challenging puzzles.

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. Nora - 08/26/2021

Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
