Nora - 01/22/2021

Nora ate oatmeal and ate dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate tilapia, whole wheat elbow noodles, ate green beans, and two servings of applesauce.

The three big girls were having a discussion about what a "minute means."  And a little more about what a "second means."  We all use the words "minute or second" in phrases a lot!!  Especially; "Wait a minute!!"
"Wait a second!!"  They were talking fast and furious (sometimes at the same time) and I didn't have time to write down the person speaking, but here are a few of the quotes!!
"Well my Mom doesn't count to one for a minute!"
"Well my Mom says one minute is one second."
"You need to count to one."
"Well my Mom showed me what a minute means, but I don't know what it means."
"A minute means one."
"No! That is not what a minute means."
"A second means you have to count to one."
"No, that is not what it means."   And on and on.  This is so cute and awesome.  I love it. 

Next picture:  Nora and Svea getting cozy.  As usual Atley was the one doing the work of getting blankets, pillows, and stuffed animals and then covering them up.  Avi was on the couch and Atley was busy with her too.  Avi said, "Atley, I'm not cozy yet.  Haha.  Last picture;  Nora trying to convince Svea "this is not a bad guy."  Haha.

Last two pictures:  I told Nora this was Science with Gary!!  Haha.  So I showed her how to vigorously rub her head back and forth on the couch.  Then slowly pull away and we took pictures so she could see what it looked like behind her and she was loving it.  In the last picture I like how she's trying hard to look back and she was able to see a little bit.  Did you notice Miles in the background of the last picture?  :)

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. We could use her for a poster encouraging people to wear masks!! First picture; Yup, Nora's back in the house!! First things first; Get these fellas all lined up, organized, and ready to go!! Ha. Nora - 05/25/2021

Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
