Nora - 01/28/2021

Nora ate whole wheat waffle and three servings of fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat tortillas, no sweet potatoes, and ate cherries.  Yesterday during Snack time the digital pictures were scrolling by and there was a picture of my feet (with shoes) standing at a highchair. Nora said, "Gary! There's your old shoes!"  She would notice that!  :)

This isn't about Nora, but I'm giving you the opportunity to read it anyhow!!  Haha.  Warning # 1: If a farting story is too crude then skip this paragraph!  Warning # 2!  You'll miss a good story if you skip this!!  Yesterday afternoon Atley did a very loud and boisterous toot!  Svea said, "Awww...Ewww...that was Gary!"  Avi said, "No, that was Atley!" Svea said, "Trust me!  That was Gary!!"  LOL!!  (I certainly hope Atley took that as a compliment!)

First picture is from yesterday afternoon when Nora was able to acquire a new skill; so Svea joined her and did real well too!!  Good job girls!  And of course as soon as Nora was able to stand on her head she needed to remove her hands because that's how Avi does it!!

"Science with Lauralea."  Last week I wrote we were going to be doing some "Cooking" this week. However, we talked about it and didn't want to risk someone getting burned and it can happen so quickly. I frequently have to help the two boys with something and then Lauralea is left alone.  SO, the Theme today is "Weather."  And we're gonna do a whole series of "weather" coming up in "Science with Lauralea."  So the first picture here is making clouds and then rain drops into the clouds.  The clouds are shaving cream, not whipping cream!  Haha.  Everyone was laughing about the clouds.  They chose the color of their "rain" and put drops into the clouds.  In the middle picture you can see the rain getting "heavy" as it works it's way through the clouds.  Last picture:  Making "Cloud Dough."  Similar to Play Dough.  Haha.  Svea's came out with the perfect texture.  Then we used a little flour with the rest to get the right texture.  No guarantees how long it will stay soft or how long it will last.  (This is not the same recipe we use for Little Treasures play dough.)
