Nora - 05/28/2021

Nora ate oatmeal and three servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate hamburger stew with meat, tomatoes, green beans, carrots, potatoes, and broth. She ate whole wheat dinner roll, and ate fruit cocktail. 

Well it seemed kinda quiet around here this morning. The Nelson girls went with their Grandparents to the lake and it always changes the dynamics of the group when anyone is gone! Nora did an excellent job using the erasable marker in the book you see in the picture this morning. This helps with their sequencing letters and numbers. This particular one is with letters. Good work Nora. (She finished it.)

Next picture: I was sitting on the couch preparing some pictures for the Blog and I heard Nora say, "Hey Gary! I'm here next to you!" Which surprised me because I thought she was in the Preschool Room with Atley. She was buried under the pillows and blankets you see in picture. Then you can see Callahan moved in to see her too. About the same time I took the picture Nora yelled, "Hey Gary! I think Cal's poopy!!" Haha. Thanks Nora!

Last picture: Nora and Atley did several different activities this morning and stayed busy. It was fun just watching them work and watching which activities they'd chose. If they are getting restless or bored I'll step up and make a suggestion or guide them into an activity. That wasn't necessary today and it was fun to watch. In the picture below Atley is doing some serious rainbows and Nora is working on a hat. They frequently make observations about each other's work and it's usually encouraging. Usually. :)

It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. The 3 oldest girls were at the table doing some Art. There was a clean piece of paper which had some paint or marker on the very top of it. Nora - 08/26/2021

Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
