Nora - 06/18/2021

Nora ate cream of wheat cereal and dried plums for breakfast. For lunch she ate chicken, brown rice, broccoli, and three servings of pineapple.

Nora was in the kitchen watching me cook Cream of Wheat cereal for breakfast and I was "singing" an original 'Gary Tune' about trying to decide if I should call her "Betty Crocker or Nora Cracker." Nora said, "You're being weird right now." LOL!! That made me laugh hard. Yup, you pretty much nailed it Nora! :)

First picture: Nora spotted a couple of small cute birds in the yard - colored black and white. She said, "They're called salmon." I had to question her; "Salmon!? Like the fish salmon!?" Nora said, "Yes," "Really? Are you sure!?" Nora said, "Yes. My Mom told me." I love that phrase. That always trumps everything else at Daycare. If Mom said it, then it's gotta be right!! :)

Last picture: Doing puzzles again while waiting to go to swim lessons; or Dunking lessons. She said, "I want to dunk everyday now!!" Ha. This is the same puzzle as I posted yesterday, but hey, I go with what I got! Nora said, "I'm getting fast at this puzzle now!!" And she really is. I love how her abilities to do puzzles has grown exponentially along with her confidence in her abilities - during the past year. So cool.

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora - 05/25/2021

Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
