Nora - 06/23/2021

Nora ate whole wheat toast and ate mangoes for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground beef mixed with marinara sauce on top of whole wheat spaghetti noodles, ate cauliflower, and three servings of fruit salad.  

This first picture is actually leftover from yesterday afternoon when the kids were playing with the cars and car ramp. Nora asked me to cover them up with the "parachute." Atley, Nora, Cal, and Miles are under the parachute. The boys soon left and inadvertently took most of the parachute with them! The were in big trouble with the girls. :) Following picture: Nora played here with the barns and legos barn animals for a long time until Atley arrived. 

Next picture: Nora and Atley were playing with the barnyard legos animals; primarily the horses. I asked, "What are you guys playing?" (I never guess because after all these years I'm still surprised by their answers and this particular time was no different. Ha.) Nora said, "Christmas; remember that game Atley? The horses open their presents." And that's one of the main reasons I like kids so much; they don't think like adults!! :)

Next picture: So speaking of silly thoughts I was listening to Atley and Nora watch the neighbor work in his yard without his shirt on. Atley said, "He's naked!!" Ha. Then she said, "It's too cold weather to wear his shorts!" And they were giggling and snickering and I couldn't hear a lot of things they were saying. :)

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. The 3 oldest girls were at the table doing some Art. There was a clean piece of paper which had some paint or marker on the very top of it. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora - 05/25/2021

Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
