Nora ate bites of breakfast: toasted whole wheat english muffin and dried plums.  For lunch she ate chicken, brown rice, stir fry vegetables, and three servings of oranges.  These were better oranges and the kids loved them! These first two pictures are from yesterday afternoon and I wanted you to see an example of what the after school girls do with the little ones.  They built this three-sided block structure around the front of the igloo with an access hole in the front.  (In the first picture Avilene is exiting through the access hole!  ha!)  Nora is watching Avi leave, Atley is looking at a book, Hudson and Kenzie are already in the igloo.  They had books in there to read to the kids.  The 2nd picture is just taken from the top looking down into it. Pictures do not tell the story of the excitement level these two have when getting together first thing in the morning.  In this next picture they were pushing buttons on the airpla...

Nora ate cheerios and banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate taco salad with ground beef, olives, tomato, ate avocado, whole grain pita bread, and two servings of watermelon. We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend so the kids were busy all morning checking out the new stuff!  But before Nora looked at any of the toys or books she was doing her excited dance and spinning in circles!  Haha!  (Picture below.)  Then Lauralea came upstairs and Nora sprinted right into show-off mode.  Bouncing on the mattress, running back and forth, flopping and dancing on the mattress.  What a cute little goof!  Every time Lauralea would recognize Nora's performance she'd crank up the intensity one or two notches! In the next picture Atley and Nora had one of the car ramps on top of the legos table and I'm not really sure what they were doing, but they sure thought it was hilarious!  Laughing over and over.  There are some buttons to pu...

Nora ate brown rice and about half of her raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate baked salmon, no dinner roll, ate corn, and two servings of mangoes. Hudson was having a "conversation" with Nora and it was so cute and funny.  Now she wasn't talking of course, but that doesn't matter to Bubba because he loves to talk continually -  for himself and others!!  He prefers it that way actually!  :)  He was saying things like; "Do you want to jump?"  "Say yes."  "Are you ready?"  "Say yes."  What a goof! All the pictures in today's Blog are from yesterday afternoon, but I think they're too cute not to Post! The kids had lots of fun this morning; reading, jumping, playing with Baby Linnea, and coloring some coffee filters at Art and then spraying the filters with water to watch the paint run. As soon as Kenzie and Riley arrive after school the dynamics of the group immediately change.  They (especially Kenzie) like to e...

Nora ate whole wheat english muffin and oranges for breakfast.  She ate a large serving of lunch; ground beef, whole wheat elbow noodles, peas, and applesauce.  I mixed what she hadn't eaten with her applesauce and fed it to her and she snarfed all of it down!  :) Here's a picture of Nora and Riley from yesterday afternoon.  Riley and Kenzie went to the Farm on December 20th so it had been several days since they'd seen each other and I'm not sure who was more excited!  So stinking cute!! I knew Nora was behind the igloo going poop and as soon as she was done and playing near Avi  -  Avi sounded the alarm:  "Nora poopy Gary!"  Avi is about the age where their sense of smell gets fully developed and they squeal on their friends!  Ha!  Actually it's a big help! We had lots of fun doing some sign language this morning.  Nora is very interested in the signs and is doing several of them along with us.  (Or at least she'...

Nora ate half of waffle serving and ate three servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate the vegetables from the paleo stew which had hamburger, green beans, carrots, broccoli, and tomatoes.  She also ate saltines and tropical fruit.  I was washing Nora after Lunch and Atley started singing, "Good night baby, good night baby."  It sounded like this;  "na na na na, na na na na,"  And Nora started mimicking her perfectly and they were both singing (on tune), "na na na na, na na na na."  Super cute and they were grinning all over. Nora came in and within a minute or two had taken off her socks and shirt/jacket.  Then it was off with the pants!  Geez!  Haha!  So I strongly encouraged her to leave something on at Gary's Place!  :)  Otherwise I have clothes everywhere and all naked kids running around!  Hudson had gone potty and was working to put his pants and underwear back on.  As soon as she saw h...

Nora ate oatmeal and apple slices for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, and tomatoes.  She had two servings of apricots and no dinner roll. First I want to remind everyone that Little Treasures will be closed Monday, New Years Day and back open on Tuesday.  Also, I'll email your January invoices this weekend.  Happy New Year to all of Nora's Family and whoever reads her Blogs.  :) Well first I have to post these two pictures from yesterday afternoon!  Lauralea showed up in the afternoon and she willingly put ponytails in the girl's hair.  Thank you Lauralea!  I love watching her because she can get it SO tight!  I try to replicate what she does, but nope it never looks like this!  :)  She has over 30 years of doing this plus her own daughter hair so she's had some practice!  I remember watching her do 5 and 6 girls every morning and again in the afternoon! ...

Nora ate two servings of french toast (thanks to some syrup) and half of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of pulled pork, ate toast, peas, and two servings of watermelon. These first two pictures are from yesterday afternoon.  In the first picture Atley was pushing Nora pretty fast in the chair and they were having a grand time.  They stopped and were going to do a head bump and this picture was timed perfectly because they bonked a bit too hard.  A second later and they were not nearly as happy as the picture shows.  But they were soon repaired, fixed-up, and back on the road!  :) Like you see in the next picture, Nora loves to hold the baby's hand.  She reaches for Linnea's hand every time right after the baby gets up from her nap.  In the following picture taken this morning she's holding the baby's right hand (you can't see it) and Avilene has the baby's left hand.  :)  Avi also has the baby's left foot. ...
