Nora Hansen's Journal

Nora ate brown rice and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of salmon, ate whole wheat dinner roll, two servings of riced cauliflower, and three servings of mangoes.  Yesterday we (Lauralea doing the videoing) videoed the kids doing 3 separate Christmas songs.  This weekend I'm planning on trying to Post these on an "Unlisted You Tube" video.  No one can see it except those you give the link to.  Does anyone have any objections to this or know of any reason I shouldn't use that format?  No names are given in the video; it's just 3 songs. Nora had no whole wheat English muffin and ate two servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat elbow noodles, three servings of peas, covered in three servings of applesauce.   Atley said, "My Dad went to Great Falls."  Nora was excited; "My Great Falls?"  So cute. This first picture was yesterday afternoon after snack.  Atley went to Nora for some loves and Svea joined right in.  It was so cute.  (I saw what precipitated this moment and Atley greatly exaggerated the incident with Avi, but this was the lovely outcome.  Haha.)  Second picture from this morning.  More loves and comforting each other.  It looks very similar to yesterday and I love how Svea joins them.   So the highlight of Thursday mornings is "Science with Lauralea."  The first experiment was Preschool introduction to electricity.  :)  I love it.  Power source is the 9-volt battery, conductor is the ...

Nora ate two servings of French toast and two servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of Hearty Paleo Stew with  meat, green beans, carrots, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, broccoli, and cauliflower.  She ate crackers and two servings of tropical fruit.     This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon outside.  Avi and Atley were actually able to drag the other 4 kids across the lawn with the kids laying on the parachute.  In this picture Miles had just caught up with them; he was frequently crawling along behind trying to catch up!!  :) Next picture:  Nora was working on this 48 piece Olaf and Friends Puzzle and Atley joined her briefly. Nora ate waffle and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortillas, corn, and two servings of baked cinnamon apples.    Today Lauralea said, "Nora, you are getting so big."  Nora was in total agreement.  "Yes, I'm 22 inches now."  LOL  Yup, you're shooting right up there Nora.   These first two pictures are left over from yesterday afternoon and they made me laugh so much!!  Nora was massaging her pal Svea and she did this 3 or 4 different times.  I guess Nora has the potential to be a Massage Therapist because in the second picture Svea looks to be going into an "other-worldly trance." Nora ate bites of kix cereal and ate her apricots for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey with her avocado mixed in, ate whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomatoes, and three servings of raspberries.  Lunch table conversation with Atley and Nora: Atley said, "I can't remember what I was gonna say."  Nora said, "Like you lost your mind."  Haha.  Then Nora changed it to; "Like you lost your thought."  Then Nora was talking about dancing with Grandpa.  She said, "Me and my Grandpa practiced the Jiggle Bug ."  LOL. Lauralea said, "That was adorable."  Nora agreed; "uh huh." Nora ate cream of wheat cereal and ate baked cinnamon apples for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, green beans, tomatoes, carrots, and potatoes.  She ate whole wheat dinner roll and three servings of fruit cocktail.  Actually oatmeal was on the menu for breakfast, but Avi asked this question: "Hey Gary, when are we going to have that SMOOTH oatmeal (making a flat motion with her hands) that you sometimes don't make enough of!?!"  LOL  I just love that wording.  Well she loves cream of wheat and it was on the menu for last Friday after Thanksgiving and of course we missed it.  So why not!?  We're having cream of wheat kids!!  Lunch conversation:  Nora was talking about eating "fruit cocktail at home."  Atley said, "What does that mean?"  (As she's putting the last bite of fruit cocktail in her mouth.)  It's what you're eating Atley.  "Oh."  :)  At breakfast the cream o...

Nora ate French toast and dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pulled pork, whole wheat toast, ate peas, and two servings of strawberries.    This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon when all the kids were playing at or on the airplane teeter-totter.  They were laughing hard and going back and forth pretty fast.  Miles is sitting on the ground trying to hang on, Svea is in the middle seat hanging on, and Cal is in the back trying hard to climb on. Haha!!  He was just about completely on when I took the picture.  Nora looked at this picture this morning and said, "I was really laughing!!"
