Nora ate half of raisin cinnamon English muffin and ate dried plums for breakfast. For lunch she ate chicken, brown rice, broccoli, and two servings of mandarin oranges.   First picture: Hey check out who has 2 matches laying on the table - and she's the only one with a match so far!! Ha. Svea was SO jacked about this and it was adorable. Those were the only matches she made during the game. One big reason for rarely making a match; she does not see the reason for watching and giving attention to what the other players are turning over. Ha. This was the only game Svea played to the end. The girls played at least 4 games of this today and Nora won a game! That doesn't happen often so it was nice for her.  Next picture: Playing with the flashlights in the igloo!! Svea on the left and Nora on the right. They (with the help of their friends) had the igloo stuffed full of soft toys again! And these two played in there for the longest time!! Last picture: Nora serving Svea some Birt...

Nora ate cheerios and banana serving for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground beef, toasted pita bread, ate three servings of olives, ate avocado, and three servings of strawberries.  First picture; We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and Nora was busy with the new Doll House accessories. She'd invited Atley to join her and this picture depicts how that usually goes. Ha. Atley said, "sure" and lasted about 1.75 minutes before getting bored with that and moving on. She actually didn't play with anything; just watched Nora. :) Second picture: Atley was just sitting in the corner reading a book and then Svea joined her. Soon Nora came over too. You obviously made it look inviting Atley!! Next picture: We add more and different supplies to the Art Cabinet every Toy exchange too; as well as rotating the trays and activity bins for the Preschool. The 4 girls are busy creating some of their own designs using markers, pens, glue, stickers and tracing patterns....

I burned the brown rice so we went with corn chex cereal along with the raisins. Nora ate corn chex and no raisins. For lunch she ate two servings of salmon, bite of whole wheat dinner roll, ate cauliflower, and two servings of mangoes. I was able to retrieve a couple of pictures from yesterday, so I'm posting two here. First picture: Svea and Nora sat in this chair and read books together in the Preschool Room for a long time and I eventually interrupted them because it was Snack Time. Second Picture: This was the experiment when we "pushed" the race car across the table without touching it. Each of the kids got a chance to do it as well. You had to be directly behind the car; if you got too low or too high the magnets would slam together. It was a fun experiment and they enjoyed it almost as much as the adults. :) Next picture: Nora worked hard for a long time drawing her butterfly. Last picture: Ok, there's a story behind this picture; an incident that occurred pro...

Nora ate whole wheat English muffin and two servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat elbow noodles, two servings of peas, and two servings of applesauce.    Well my photos are in the computer, but I can't access them to this program. Which of course messes with my Blogging plan for today and actually every day!! I use the pictures to tell the stories and it's much easier to explain something the kids have been doing. So I'll be working on solving that issue tonight. Svea walked in modeling her dress as usual. Nora got so excited when she saw Svea's dress. "I have that same dress at home!!" :)  Science with Lauralea: We began by talking about our experiments with seeds from last week. You've seen the seeds sprouting in the sealed baggies with water-soaked paper towels. We compared those bags with one bag we put in a dark closet. The seeds in the closet with no light actually did start to sprout, but it's not...

Nora ate French toast and ate two servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of Hearty Paleo Stew with meat, cauliflower, broccoli, sweet potatoes, green beans, tomatoes, and carrots. She ate saltines and three servings of tropical fruit. (Mangoes and Pineapple.)   This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon when the kids were having fun playing outside in the sun. Svea is rolling Nora up in the parachute. (Nora's head is poking out from under the yellow a step in front of Svea.) Second picture: Everyone except Miles is on the airplane. Nora is the tail-gunner in case you didn't spot her. :)  Ok, I'm posting a picture of Atley so you can see what this Post is about. :) I asked Nora what Atley was wearing and Nora said, "It's a jumper." Ok, whatever. I'm not a clothes expert. Haha. So much later, like 2 hours, Atley randomly said, "Nora, it's a leotard. Not a jump rope suit." Haha. Dang that was funn...

Nora ate French toast and ate dried plums. For lunch she ate pulled pork, whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of strawberries.    Happy Happy Birthday to our sweet Nora. When she was waving bye to Daddy at the window today she said, "He said Happy Birthday to me." Well how do you know that?!? She said, "Because I heard his voice talking!" Haha. So cute. In Miles' Blog you'll see a picture of Miles crawling on Nora. She was under her blanket several times like that today and I'm sure you can guess what that was about!! Yes, she was hiding to suck her thumb. It was so cute it was hard not to laugh at her.  I think this first picture of Svea and Nora from yesterday is adorable. Their conversation made it even more adorable. They were discussing their features and talking about hair color and eye color. They sounded like Middle Schoolers. As you can see it was a "hands on" discussion. :)  The Science Theme today: Flowers and growing thi...

Nora ate whole wheat toast and ate mangoes for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground beef with marinara sauce on whole wheat noodles, ate cauliflower, and three servings of fruit salad. Callahan frequently asks kids and me; "How is your day?" Well yesterday at breakfast time he was in his highchair and he said, "Nora, how is your day?" No response. "Nora, how is your day?" No response. He didn't give up. Ha. "Nora, how is your day?" Nora's irritated response; "My day hasn't even started!" Hahah. I about fell off the stool laughing. Uhhh Callahan...I don't think Nora's a morning person. Hahaha. That's only funny because I'm a morning person. Lauralea is not a morning person. When we worked together and had 12 kids in a Group Home, Lauralea would be "awake" to communicate about 10:00 am. It was entertaining when parents would ask her questions in the morning. "I'll have to research that for you...
