Nora - 9/7/2017

Nora had a few bites (very few - ha!) of breakfast: french toast and dried plums.  For lunch she ate bites of pulled pork sandwich, bites of peas, and ate cantaloupe. Here's the benefit of being the last to arrive at Little Treasures.  All the kids want to line up at the window to wave goodbye!  That's Andy, Avilene's Daddy in his pickup.  Nora was at the window several times this morning; watching school kids walk by, two different neighbors walking their dog, and some workers putting on a new roof across the street.  Atley was watching first and then Nora joined her.  By the way, I have to tell Daddy Ryan what Hudson said this morning;  "Ryan didn't wave!!"  (Hudson is like the Classroom Monitor!!) Nora and Atley were playing with the legos.  In the picture below Nora has an armful of legos from the drawer, but not sure how she's going to get them to the legos table top!!  She finally just dumped them back into the drawer! We...

Nora ate whole wheat toast and lots of mangoes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef with marinara sauce on whole wheat spaghetti noodles, no squash, and ate fruit salad.  She loved her spaghetti and her face was pretty messy.  Hudson kept saying, "Look at Nora's face!  Look at Nora's face!"  Ha! When Lauralea was leaving for work today she said, "Hey Nora, can I have a love bye?"  And Nora went chugging right over for a hug.  It was so cute.  Thank you Nora. Like I've mentioned before she likes to whip the blankets and dress-up clothes around and she giggles like it's the funniest thing ever.  Except this morning she was surrounded by the other 3 kids when she started her routine.  They didn't appreciate getting swatted by the doll blanket.  Ha!  Then Nora was not happy when I moved her to the side.  (Here, you can play your game over here where it's safer for everyone!)  So now everyone is mad!  Hah...

Nora ate bites of whole wheat bagel and lots of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate shrimp, brown rice, stir fry vegetables, and red raspberries. This first picture was taken shortly after Nora arrived and she was cracking me up!!  She was up and down, almost jumping, and jiving around.  She was experimenting with all kinds of new moves that I've never seen her do!  It was so cute and she's obviously getting more comfortable on her feet every day!!  Nice job Nora!! We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and I think Nora noticed!  Maybe! Ha!  But she really didn't care.  Just give that girl some doll blankets or dress-up clothes and she's good to go!!  When I took this next picture she was whipping the dress-up shirt back-n-forth as fast as she could and she was cracking herself up!  Laughing loud!!  Sometimes I'll hear her laugh like that and then I'm surprised she's all alone just enjoying herself!!  I...

Nora ate several bites of malt-o-meal cereal and plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of meat from beef "kabobs."  She ate all her brown rice, zucchini, red peppers, broccoli, and pineapple. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon when Riley and Kenzie were combing all the Daycare Kid's hair!  I love Nora's cute little expression in the first picture.  She cracks me up.  If you look closely she has her right index finger poking between 2 of her toes.  In typical Nora fashion!!  Ha!! What a little peanut!  I sure love having her at Little Treasures and she's a great fit here!!  She's very social and ALL the kids love her!  (This was Kenzie combing her hair.) In this 2nd picture Avi and Hudson were putting the doll blankets over their heads and jumping on the mattress.  Avi fell on Atley 2 or 3 times and Atley just laughed uproariously like it was the funniest thing ever!!  What a goof.  Nora was a bit m...

Nora ate 2 servings of breakfast: waffle and fruit salad.  For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat elbow noodles, green beans, and applesauce.  She's really a good little eater and she's not that picky - not right now at least!!  Haha!! Although just about everyone knows this, I still want to mention that today is Reid's last day.  So going forward I'll have 4 kids plus the 2 after school kids until the middle of November and then a new baby will start.  We've had a long relationship with Reid's family - 3 boys and the oldest is now in the 7th grade.  We're thankful they live just around the corner so we see them frequently!!  I'm still gonna miss having Reid here and his awesome sense of humor.  And I'm sure Nora will miss her big buddy as well.  Yesterday Reid actually "noticed" that she was walking!  "Nora's walking!!"  (Yes Reid, you've seen it many times, but today you finally saw it!!  ha!  I can't tell you ...

Nora ate half of her french toast and ate lots of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of salmon loaf, no dinner roll, bite of squash, and ate tropical fruit. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon.  Kenzie was giving Nora a steady hand to assist her walking.  However, Nora doesn't really need it anymore!  She is doing awesome with the whole walking thing!!  I told Daddy Ryan this morning;  Here's what I use as a gauge for the beginning walkers; When they start walking on the mattress and walking on the grass.  Then I know they are becoming "skilled walkers!"  Haha!  Nora is doing both.  Well done Nora!  We are so proud of you!  In the 2nd picture from this morning she is making the rocker/swivel chair go around and around while Atley just enjoys the ride.  :) Nora is not in the next picture, but I thought you might enjoy it anyhow!  It has been a busy place around here this morning wit...

Nora ate bites of toasted whole wheat english muffin and two servings of grapes for breakfast.   For lunch she ate pork chop, whole wheat bread, bites of roasted vegetables; potatoes, beets, sweet potatoes, and ate applesauce.  This morning at breakfast Nora started singing (loudly) and it was so cute!!  That was the first time she's done some "singing" at Daycare!  I'm saying the inspiration for that came from Atley who always starts singing loudly when she's done eating!  :) All the kids were very happy to see the Cline Sisters - Kenzie and Riley - after school yesterday.  Riley headed directly for Nora and they got reacquainted and it's so adorable!!  Riley is such a little Mommy!!  I asked her if she wanted to feed Nora scrambled eggs for snack and Nora ate all of them. In the following picture Nora was sitting on the step (alone) and "bouncing" up and down.  I said, "It's way softer to bounce on the mattress!"  (While point...
