Nora ate half of french toast and bites of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pulled pork, whole wheat toast, three servings of peas, and ate strawberries. Nora came in happy as could be and she was off to a great start!  A long time later (just kidding), probably two or three minutes I was in the kitchen setting breakfast out and she let out the most intense scream and howling imaginable!!  I've taken care of Nora for a long time and occasionally it still surprises me!!  Haha!  I ran to the gate as she was coming around the changing table; "What is the matter?!?  What happened?!?"  "Linnea pulled my sock!"  I looked down and her socks were still on!  Ha!  Oh my goodness!  I certainly hope you're ok!!  Now if you don't mind Nora, I'll take some deep breaths and return to what I was doing!  :) Nora informed me excitedly that she was having a birthday party and I have the privilege of attending!  "Birthda...

Nora ate two servings of whole wheat toast and two servings of mangoes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef with pasta sauce on whole wheat spaghetti noodles, ate bites of cauliflower, and ate fruit salad.  This first picture is from breakfast time and it's a good example of how much these kids are starting to help each other.  And it's happening more and more all the time.  I was feeding Svea and Nora said, "Help me Gary."  She wanted help spooning the last of her mangoes.  Avi jumped up and said, "I'll help her."  So I had to stop long enough to get a picture!"  Thank you Avi. A follow-up on yesterday's story about Nora wanting Atley to recognize her ponytail after I fix her hair.  Sure enough, I fix Nora's hair, she gets down and first thing; "Look at my pony Atley."  Atley said, "oh."  Haha!  However, that was totally enough for Nora and that's all she wants; just for Atley to respond.  So cute. Nex...

Nora ate no whole wheat bagel, but she ate two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate shrimp, most of brown rice, a large serving of stir fry vegetables, and a large serving of raspberries. I'm forever calling Linnea and Svea by the wrong name!!  Atley, Nora, and Avi catch me every time too!  It's pretty funny!  You should have heard us around here back when Lauralea and I were licensed for 12 kids!!   Haha!  Just too many options!!  (The names on their cubbies were very helpful back in those days and I frequently took a peek to figure it out!!!) Every time I do a ponytail for Nora she wants Atley to look and also acknowledge it!!  So yesterday afternoon when I was done Nora said, "Look at my pony Atley!"  (Repeat 3 or 4 times.)  Atley started rubbing her eye saying, "I got something in my eye!"  LOL!  It was very funny!  Nice try Atley!  So I said, "Atley, Please answer Nora." Atley said, "Really go...

Nora ate some bran cereal and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of chicken, bites of whole wheat pita bread, ate cucumbers, peppers, avocado, and two servings of pears. First three pictures: Avi, Atley, and Nora were having fun for a long time and Avi was leading in some imaginary play.  And Nora was having a blast following Avi's lead.  Atley was get tired of being the "follower" and she moved in and out of their play, but this went on for a long time.  First picture: Avi said, "We're having a sleepover!"  Second picture: "We're going to the carousel!"  Third picture: They were running in circles and Avi was chanting all kinds of things, but the ones I wrote down; "Ho ho ho!!  Christmas is over!  Take away our presents!"  Haha!  Then Avi said, "Let's go delivery pizza!" I love that wording!! Last picture: This is obviously not Nora, but I think this is a great illustration of Atley making ...

Nora ate half of cream of wheat cereal and a couple of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of baked beef kabobs with meat, peppers, and zucchini.  She ate bites of brown rice and ate a large serving of pineapple. Nora came in a bit grumpy again, but she didn't stay on the couch nearly as long as yesterday which was nice.  Probably 3 or 4 minutes and she was ready to join the rest of the kids.  She did continue to scream and yell at people occasionally when she felt they totally deserved her wrath!  Ha!  Linnea is a bit more physical and testing her boundaries a bit and Nora is not impressed at all with any of those maneuvers!  "What happened to the baby Linnea; I liked her better that way!?!"  Ha!  "Linnea touched me!!  Linnea grabbed me!!"  So I tell Nora; "You're way bigger than her; just move away and she can't grab you!"  Nora doesn't budge; just sits there yelling. I like these first two pictures; ...

Nora chose not to eat any breakfast.  She'd just arrived at breakfast time, not in the greatest mood, and curled up on the couch while the other kids ate breakfast.  She took about 20 minutes to regroup and the rest of the morning she did totally fine.  Atley was the first one done and she didn't go near Nora until Nora was ready.  I was pretty impressed with that.  For lunch she ate a couple bites of Shepard's pie with ground beef, carrots, green beans, and potatoes.  She had bites of whole wheat tortillas, and ate her cherries. Nora and Atley were running in circles, kind of like chase, but on one was trying to "catch" anyone!  Haha!  They were having lots of fun laughing and giggling.  In the middle of it all Nora fell, jumped right up and said, "I'm ok" and kept on running.  That always makes me laugh when they say, "I'm ok" when no-one has asked if they're ok.  (I'm easily humored!) Here are some pictures from Nora'...

Nora ate bites of french toast and ate strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of whole 30 chili with sweet potatoes, tomatoes, and peppers.  She also ate whole wheat dinner roll and tropical fruit.  Avi, Atley, and Nora were singing one of our Daycare songs at the Lunch table; "My Mommy comes back, she always comes back, she never will forget me!"  It was pretty cute and they all three knew the words. (That's the chorus and there are two or three verses to it as well.) Just an FYI for everyone; I'll now be doing 5 Blogs (Svea is 1 year old!!  New Years Baby!!) so the times they are posted may change a little bit!  My daily goal is to have them all posted by 2:45.  Everyone was back today and it was so fun and busy to have the 5 kids back!!  (Linnea was last here on 12/21.) Nora was sitting beside me when I was feeding Svea her bottle.  (Yup, Nora still does that most of the time!)  And she had her own baby and doll bottl...
