Nora ate breakfast at home.  For lunch she ate most of fish (bass), a large serving of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate green beans, and a large serving of applesauce. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon.  It's always fun to have a friend like Atley!!  Lots of laughs and good times!  :)  So here's Nora watching Atley come down the slide on her back, head-first; which is really never a good idea!  She didn't whimper or cry, BUT she also didn't do it again! She laid at the top of the slide like she was going to do it again, but made a better decision.  :) Nora played in the igloo and also jumped off the igloo.  I like taking pictures of her when she's jumping because her hair is always flying.  By the way she had a very good morning and listened well and her overall mood was very positive.  A fun morning. Nora sat for lots of Story Time, but got tired of that and played with the food toys.  First she moved the yello...

Nora ate peaches and no whole wheat bagel for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bite or two of sausage and hamburger pizza with whole wheat pizza crust, tomato sauce, pineapple, olives, and peppers.  She ate pineapple on the side. The first two pictures go together.  Linnea took a little nap first thing this morning and ate breakfast a few minutes later than the others.  So in the first picture you can see what she was watching while eating breakfast.  For your viewing pleasure we have Nora and Atley jumping onto the mattress!!  A little later Linnea was still eating and was laughing at Nora jumping; oh man, Nora LOVED that!  The entertainment level increased a few degrees!!  "Oh! You like that!?! Well watch this!!"  I like how Nora's hair is sticking straight up in the 2nd picture. And these next two pictures go together too.  Nora does this just about every day and I love it.  She gets a doll and covers it with a doll blanke...

Nora was not interested in eating breakfast, but she made up for it later, which was good!  For lunch she ate a large serving of chicken with stir fry vegetables, ate brown rice, and cherries. Lauralea was here for an hour helping supervise the "preschool" room.  Like I mentioned yesterday there are four or five trays Nora can have good success with so we're focusing on those for right now. Does this first picture look familiar!?!  Same tray as yesterday.  She searched for all the pink fluffy balls first!  The girl definitely loves her pink!!  The 2nd tray was a new for her and she easily threaded the pipe cleaners through the holes.  Her first sewing lesson!!  :)  Next we'll be knitting and darning socks!  I love the concentration on her face. Lauralea was leaving for work (you can see her legs through the gate) and Nora was showing-off big time.  She was running across the floor, pretend falling, then waiting for Lauralea'...

Nora ate several bites of toasted whole wheat english muffin and several bites of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of pork chop meat, bite of whole wheat tortillas, bites of vegetables (carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes), and ate a large serving of fruit salad. This first note is just an update on something we've been working on for 2 -3 months.  State Licensing is requiring all Programs regardless of size - Family (Little Treasures fits into that category), Group, Center - everyone has to develop an Emergency Disaster Plan.  No detail needed here, but it involves on-site evacuation, neighborhood evacuation, out of neighborhood evacuation, and a safe on-site shelter to hide from intruders or disaster.  We have the perfect room for this downstairs because it has no window.  This has taken a lot of work, but we're basically done and today we did a "Lock-Down Drill!"  Of course the kids had no clue, but they kind of liked the adventure of g...

Nora ate cheerios and banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of ground beef, no whole wheat pita bread, ate two servings of olives, two servings of tomatoes, bite of avocado, and two large servings of cantaloupe.  (I agree with you Nora!!  Those Dixon melons are yummy!!) First picture: Nora was still eating breakfast and watching Atley poke her head in and out of the igloo!  They were both cracking up and enjoying each other.  Too cute.  Earlier, when Atley was still at the table eating breakfast Nora kept looking at her and just giggling.  I think it's safe to say that Nora is pleased to have her friend back at Little Treasures!!  I love Nora's intense "belly laugh!" It's just too cute and Atley brings that out more than anyone at Daycare!! Here is a picture of Nora laying on the floor reading.  Which is not unusual, but this is what she was doing during Story Time!  Haha!  That made me laugh.  She sat with us fo...

Nora ate half of toasted whole wheat english muffin and two servings of oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, a large serving of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and a large serving of applesauce.  Nora went to sleep fast - even before I got sat down to begin the Blogs!  That's pretty unusual so I'm thinking the pool party must have been a hit.  :) I already told Momma Emily this and Nora demonstrated it a little bit for Momma too, but I've gotta blog about how Nora pedals the bikes.  She just mastered pedaling this week and can actually pedal quite fast now!  However, she only does it going backwards.  Well Nora, I do believe that's the first time I've seen that at Little Treasures!!  I saw her pedaling forward once yesterday for a few feet, but she wouldn't do it again!  She cracks me up!  Just in case someone is wondering why I don't post a video; for some reason this blogger.com won't let me post videos!  ...

Nora ate two servings of french toast and two servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she wouldn't touch the paleo stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, and sweet potatoes.  She ate saltines and tropical fruit. I took this first picture during snack yesterday afternoon.  Linnea and Nora were being pretty silly in their highchairs and it was so cute.  I love it when the kids interact with each other this way!  Nora was making goofy squawking noises and Linnea was laughing loud!  It's also very cute how much enjoyment they get from making each other laugh!  Nora was cracking up every time Linnea would laugh! First picture from this morning: Nora was watching Hudson going down the little slide on a pillow and she was giggling and saying, "Bubba!  Bubba!"  Next picture is Nora during Art Time drawing on the "thing" - whatever it is!  haha!  She played with it for the longest time; long after Hudson was tired o...

Nora ate half of her waffle and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate baked chicken, no whole wheat dinner roll, ate corn on the cob (which I cut off the cob for her - they all wanted it cut off the cob), and ate three servings of baked cinnamon apples. Linnea was pretty tired first thing this morning so she took a nap and ate breakfast after she woke up. She was in the highchair eating and Nora came over to her with her hand extended toward Linnea.  She said, "Boogie Linnea, boogie!!"  Haha!  Well I'm sure Linnea is totally impressed with your boogies Nora, but let's get it wiped off your finger.  Silly kids.  :)  Yesterday I told Nora to take her finger out of her nose and she went off and pouted.  Haha! This is from yesterday afternoon and I already told Momma Emily about it, but I still have to post it.  It was so cute.  Nora was talking on the phone saying, "Hello. Hello."  Who are you talking to?  S...

Nora ate most of kix cereal and ate mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, most of whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, half of avocado, and two servings of cherries. Well everyone is back this week except for Atley.  She left on Friday and will be back next Monday so the Daycare is almost back to normal!  Our Granddaughter was here all last week too, but she didn't get to meet Nora!  She sure loved playing with the Daycare kids, especially the babies!  (She is 8 years old, the same as Kenzie.) Nora was so cute this morning - I think she was glad to be back in her environment - if her grins and giggles were any clue!!  Look at that cute smile in the first picture!!  In the 2nd picture she was just beside herself with excitement when Linnea or Svea were close beside her.  Nora played with the dolls and blankets a lot! They played steady with the new toys, we read lots of books, and then we colored on a piece of car...

Nora chose to not eat breakfast here.  For lunch she ate bites of baked beef kabobs with meat, zucchini, pineapple, and peppers.  She also ate bites of brown rice and bites of pineapple on the side. I have a couple of pictures left over from yesterday afternoon when the kids were having fun playing with the animal suits.  Nora joined in the fun and I was happy to see that.  I love her natural inclination to hold back and watch and be cautious.  But I also like it when she joins in the fun; which she did yesterday with the suits and she had a blast.  Cute little froggy!  The 2nd picture is Hudson in one of the lion suits and Atley in the background with a leopard jacket. All of the kids LOVE our Story Times and so do I!!  (Which I believe helps them to love books as well!)  One of our "special" books is Dr Seuss book of "Terrible Tongue Twisters."  All the kids remember an amazing amount of the stories and can finish so many lines...

Nora ate waffle and fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a few bites of shepherd's pie with hamburger, green beans, carrots, and potatoes.  She had bites of whole wheat tortilla and ate cherries. Here are some pictures from Nora's morning!  First thing to do - we gotta snuggle!  :)  So I did a selfie while she was showing me her shinbone that got bruised yesterday morning.  "Right here Gary."  Then she did some puzzles and some jumping.  I like the jumping picture as she was "nailing" her landings; on both feet and then standing right up!!  And she was pretty proud of herself as well! Well done Nora.  :) The kids love to go with me to fetch the babies after naps and they usually knock ("banging" would describe it better) on the door, but lately they've been trying to peek (see picture) under the door!  Haha!  Not sure what they expect to see; especially considering it's dark in there!  :)  When I op...

Nora wasn't interested in eating any breakfast.  She was still dealing with some "post trauma" from banging her shin earlier.  (That was written just for you Emily.  Ha)   Three or four times this morning she would randomly say, "OW OW OW!!"  What!?!?  "My leg!"  :)  For lunch she ate "Whole 30" chili with hamburger, tomato sauce, peppers, tomatoes, and sweet potatoes.  She ate bites of whole wheat dinner roll and ate a large serving of tropical fruit. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon when the kids asked to play in the sand table.  They had lots of fun scooping sand into the funnels which makes the wheels spin around.  By the way, I'm doing something different with the sand area in the next few weeks to make it more practical; plus I think they'll like it much better.  :) When the rest of the crew came out from breakfast this is where Nora was located; still trying to recover from earlier mentioned shinbone ...
