Nora ate a bite or two of whole wheat bagel and lots of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate everything: shrimp, brown rice, stir fry vegetables, and lots of raspberries.  Hudson didn't want his raspberries and Avi immediately said she "want Bubba's berries."  Nora picked up on what Avi had just said and she started pointing and yelling for Bubba's berries too!!  Ha! Cracked me up!  (They both got a few of them!) This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  This age group is so "monkey see, monkey do!"  One will start playing with a particular toy, they all want to play with the same toy.  I can't remember who was on the floor first, but obviously they ALL ended up on the floor!  And more or less all pointed in the same direction!  (This never lasts very long so I have to be quick with the camera!!) Here are the kids waving bye to Daddy Ryan.  You know what I like best about this picture?  Yes, Atley's b...

Nora ate bran cereal and most of raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate all her chicken salad: lettuce, chicken, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, and olives.  She also had bites of pita bread, and ate her pears.  Daddy Ryan mentioned your discussion about her eating some breakfast/ or not eating any breakfast/ before coming to Daycare.  If it would be helpful, I'd be happy to discuss ideas with you and share some of the options that other families have chosen and you can choose what works for your family. Here's a picture of Nora blowing a kiss bye to Lauralea this morning.  A wonderful start for Lauralea's day!!  Just the cutest!  No arguments from you all, right!?!  :) We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and Nora was pretty thrilled with the discovery of some masks!  I laughed when the mask fell over her face and of course that just inspired her to leave it that way!!  :) How do you like Nora's hair in this n...

When a child arrives late to Little Treasures their Daily Blog is usually much shorter, but I have a couple pictures from yesterday afternoon to fill some space for Nora today!  :)  By the way, when I was changing her diaper before Nap time she spotted the bandaids covering her shots from this morning and she attacked them!  I wanna grab those bandaids!  Haha!  I told her that she and Mommy could deal with those later!  She ate an amazing amount of food for lunch!!  Wow!  Baked beef kabobs: meat, peppers, zucchini, and mushrooms, she also ate brown rice, and pineapple.  (A large serving of everything!) This first picture is Kenzie and Riley doing some more school lessons with Nora!  Riley had written some numbers on the paper and then asked Nora to point to the 5, point to the 7, point to the 9, ect. Nora would just move her pointer finger all over the paper and the girls would tip their heads back and roar.  Then they'd lean up a...

Nora ate bites of waffle and ate a large serving of fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate "shepard's pie" with hamburger, green beans, and potatoes.  She ate most of whole grain tortilla and ate lots of cherries. These first three pictures are from yesterday afternoon.  Nora ate LOTS of blueberries and I had to take a picture of that!!  Ha!  Look at her hand, face, and "fish lips!"  (By the way, I've been dealing with the after effects of blueberries today with all the kids!!  ha!!  Just thought you all needed to know that!)  Kenzie took the opportunity to "photo bomb" the moment.  Speaking of Kenzie, she and Riley were having "school"  and Nora and Hudson were their chosen students.  :)  They were doing math and I had to take a picture of their math paper.  This was Nora's paper with her name and date at the top, numbers and equations are next, and then a note of congratulations from the teacher!  The ...

Nora ate french toast and lots of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she had a taste of salmon loaf, no dinner roll, bites of squash, and ate a large serving of tropical fruit.  This doesn't have anything to do with Nora, but I know you get a kick out of Hudson's constant talking!  At breakfast he started chanting my name; "Gary Gary Gary..."  Hi Bubba.  "Hey Gary, can we talk to you?!?"  Yes, of course you can talk to me Bubba.  "Gary Gary Gary....uhhhh, what are you doing Gary!?!"  Bubba, I'm listening to you chatter!  :) This is the first thing Nora went for when she arrived this morning; dress-up clothes!  She got all accessorized and was yelling because she thought Atley was getting some!  Ha!  There is plenty for everyone Nora!  :) I had a Physical Therapy appointment early this morning and I parked the car in front of the window. The kids were at the window when Lauralea was leaving and it was so cute beca...

Nora ate a bite of toasted whole wheat english muffin and two big servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pork chop, whole wheat toast, bites of beets and a couple bites of sweet potatoes, and ate applesauce.  She wasn't eating her pork chop meat, but when I was feeding her the applesauce I mixed bites of pork chop with it and she ate it all! First, here's a  correction  from yesterday's Blog for everyone.  I'm sure most of you assumed this, but I confirmed with Linnea's (our new Baby coming in November) Mom that the "n" sound is NOT an "m" sound!  Ha!  So it's pronounced; "La-nay-ah."  :)  It was obviously a typo! Nice job of coming back to wave at the kids Daddy Ryan!!  I'm glad I saw you sitting out there!  Otherwise you could have pulled into the driveway up to the window and honked the horn!  Hudson was yelling, "He came back!  He came back!!"  Haha!! I told the kids we were going to have Story...

Nora ate whole grain chex cereal and two servings of peaches for breakfast.  I've never talked much about what I consider a "serving size" for this age group.  As all my Families know I participate in a Federal Food Program (CACFP) and you can look online to see what they consider a serving size for different age groups.  I think their servings sizes are small (and it's just a suggested minimum).  So my serving sizes are considerably more than what they have listed.  Geez!  Poor Nora would not be happy with the minuscule amount they consider a serving size!  Ha!  For lunch she ate hamburger meat, most of hamburger bun, ate tomato, bites of lettuce, mushrooms, bites of avocado, and ate oranges. Several of you have asked about the new Baby and when she starts so here's an update!!  Her Name is  spelled Linnea and is pronounced "la-may-ah."  Full name is Linnea Ann Goe-Midtlyng.  (Mommy's last name plus Daddy's last name.) ...

Nora ate oatmeal and bites of dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate everything; tilapia, whole wheat elbow noodles, green beans, and applesauce.  I fed her the applesauce, but prior to that she hadn't yet eaten her tilapia so I mixed it with the applesauce.  She helped me mix it too, which was pretty cute and then she ate it.  :) This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  Hudson was pulling Avi and Nora in the wagon and Avi was working real hard to keep her feet out of Nora's space.  Thank you Avi, that is very sweet.  And it keeps Nora from yelling at you!  Ha!!  Thank you Hudson for working hard to pull them around.  You can see he's really leaning into it! Nora was playing with the dress-up clothes and had a shirt pulled down over her head.  She also had the headband on; pulled all the way down so it was around her neck.  It's also white like her shirt and it looked like she had on a turtl...

Nora ate a bite or two of whole wheat bagel and two big servings of peaches.  For lunch she ate half of hamburger and sausage pizza, whole wheat crust, with tomato sauce, olives, peppers, and mushrooms, and she ate a large serving of pineapple. In this first picture these two were at the window after Nora's Daddy drove by (and waved!!!  Ha!) and Atley started "bonking" her head on the window.  (Pretty gentle I might add!)  But she was bonking loud enough that I could hear it across the room.  She wanted Nora to start "bonking" with her, but Nora was like; "Uhhh, no, you just keep on bonking and I'll keep on laughing at you!!"  :) I didn't realize this little mirror was this scratched until I took the picture of Nora reading her book.  I think it's funny that in the picture her hairline looks straight across the front.  :)  The following picture is just Nora being Nora!  :)  It's actually kind of a "fishnet" material so s...

Nora had bites of whole wheat toast and ate lots of grapes.  When she first started on the grapes she was "double-fisting" em!!  Haha!  (It's ok honey, you can slow down!!  I have lots!!  Haha!)  For lunch she ate pork roast, bite of whole grain tortillas, bites of carrots and sweet potatoes, and ate fruit salad. These first two pictures are from yesterday afternoon - again!  :)  In this first picture she'd just gotten up from her nap and I had her on the changing table.  Riley had just arrived from school and jumped up on the top of the dress-up rack to be close to Nora.  I loved how Nora grasped Riley's arm and the contented look on her face.  These two really do love each other.  So sweet.  The 2nd picture:  The kids were LOVING being outside in the wind.  It was so much fun and the leaves were blowing everywhere.  Plus, it was warm enough to leave the jackets inside.  I already mentioned this to M...

Nora ate bites of breakfast: toasted whole wheat english muffin and dried plums.  For lunch she ate a large serving of everything:  chicken, brown rice, stir fry vegetables, and two big servings of oranges. Hudson made an observation at lunch;  "Hey Gary! Nora is eating by herself!!"  Yes, isn't that cool!? And she has been for a few months now!  :)  I've mentioned this before, but this is SO typical of this age group!  They can see it everyday, but all of a sudden one day they REALLY see it!  I've especially seen this when one of them start walking; "Hey Gary!  Nora is walking!"  Yes, isn't that cool!?  And she has been for a few months now!  :) This first picture is from yesterday afternoon!  It was SO beautiful outside and the kids were loving it!  Nora sat in this one spot for a long time - at least 15 - 20 minutes playing with the grass.  She was piling it in front of her and putting some on her pants. ...

Nora ate cheerios and banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate taco salad; ground beef, tomatoes, half of her lettuce, and olives.  She also ate avocado and watermelon. These first two pictures are left over from last Friday afternoon, but I had to save them because I thought they were so cute and it hit my funny bone!!  It was "pajama day" for Riley's first grade class and she was showing Nora her pajamas.  When Riley pulled the top down Nora went right for the zipper and had it pulled down in a flash.  She's a tricky one!!  :) We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange and the kids were busy and engaged all morning.  These next two pictures go together.  Nora and Atley each had a shaker in their hands and were shaking them and watching each other.  "Dueling shakers."   Nora had crumpled to the floor and was pouting about something.  (I can't remember what it was all about!  Ha!)  Hudson got on the floor beside...

Nora ate brown rice and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of baked salmon, no dinner roll, ate corn, and mangoes. Atley was really into giving "fist bumps" this morning.  She was holding her hand out to me to do a fist bump several times and then when Nora arrived that was the first greeting!  Fist bump!  Nora cooperated two or three times and when I took the first picture she was like; "Nope!  No more fist bumps!!"  :)  (Maybe if I just ignore her, she'll stop with the fist bumps already!!) We had a fun morning and did some reading, singing, and coloring with markers.  I took this next picture when Nora was sitting on the legos table playing with some legos flowers.  They like to put the flowers on their fingers and the holes are small and a perfect fit for little fingers.  I asked Nora; "Can you fit one on your finger and we can show Mommy?!"  She shook her head "no."  Ha!  This week every time Laural...
