Nora chose not to eat any breakfast here.  For lunch she ate two big servings of chicken ("more cheek-in" haha! too cute), ate whole wheat pita bread, ate tomatoes, cucumber, olives, and most of peppers, and she ate her pears.  She definitely made up for no breakfast here!! While Linnea was sitting in her highchair eating lunch (she ate early) Nora was finishing up coloring with some new markers we got.  The rule with the markers is "you have to get the lid on and put it in the tray before you get another marker."  Nora was struggling with the lids and said, "Help me Linnea, help me!  Help me Linnea!!"  LOL  That sure made me laugh!!  Nora, did you happen to notice she's strapped in her highchair!?!  Or that she's a baby!?!  A classic example of lack of logic! Avi and Atley were running back-n-forth between the chair and the mattress yelling about flying on the airplane, going on a trip, going to the airport, and going to the station...

Nora ate cream of wheat cereal and bites of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she had several bites of baked beef kabobs with meat, peppers, zucchini, mushrooms, and pineapple.  She also ate a large serving of brown rice and some more pineapple on the side. Only two of the regular Daycare kids are in this picture, but I'm posting it in all the Blogs to let everyone know that Reid is going to be coming after school (Kindergarten) to hang out for a couple of hours.  It won't be every day, but up to three days on some weeks.  Almost everyone knows Reid from earlier years and it's a joy to have him rejoin us.  He has two older brothers so we've had this family in our Program for over 13 years.  (Big brother is now a teenager!) Wow!  After building the wall in the picture he build a big box and then "steps" so the little ones could get in and out.  He said, "I built it so babies can get in.  Humans can get in."  (The implication being t...

Nora ate most of waffle and ate fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she didn't eat any shepherd's pie with hamburger, green beans, carrots, and potatoes.  She also didn't eat whole grain tortilla, but ate her cherries. Frequently when Nora gets mad she flops on the floor face-first to whimper and pout.  Linnea was messing with the big blocks Nora was building with and it frustrated her.  So I told her that Linnea was just a baby and to ask for help.  That didn't satisfy her so she did her flop; except this time Linnea flopped with her - stretched out beside her.  It looked pretty funny, but didn't help Nora's frustration!! She was screeching at Linnea to "move away, move away!!"  :) Nora was cooperating nicely with Lauralea so she got to do a couple of the preschool trays before Lauralea went to work!  Nice job Nora.  In the first picture Nora started intentionally putting the fuzzy colored balls in the wrong spot - like blue in red and...

Nora ate half of french toast and ate strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of "Whole 30 Chili" (no beans) with hamburger, peppers, sweet potatoes, and tomatoes.  She also ate half of whole wheat dinner roll and most of tropical fruit. Here are some pictures from outside time yesterday.  I got a 2nd sand table plus more sand toys and the kids had lots of fun with those.  Second picture: Avi, Atley, and Nora were down at the big chain link gate and one of them said, "Ice cream."  What?  So I walked down and sure enough there was this ice cream truck!!  (I did consider loading the kids up on sugar and sending them home!!  Ha!) And the ice cream truck drove by a 2nd time real slow to torment and tempt everyone!!  :) Another note leftover from yesterday.  Nora looked like she was done with the sidewalk chalk and just fooling around so I asked, "Are you using the chalk on the sidewalk or just dinking around?" ...

Nora ate bites of toasted whole wheat english muffin and three servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pork chop, whole wheat toast, no roasted vegetables (beets and sweet potatoes), and ate her applesauce. In a daycare setting it's always comical when an infant starts walking because the other kids see it, but they don't really see it.  Days or sometimes weeks go by before they actually realize the baby is now walking.  I've seen this over and over!  Well today was the big day!  Avi said, "She's walking Gary! She's walking!! She's standing up!!"  Hahah!  So Atley, Avi, and Nora were lined up watching Linnea walk!  Too cute!!  It's now Official!!  Linnea's walking! Nora was pretty excited when she saw Linnea had some sandals.  "Boo boo boo!!"  Yes, Linnea has blue sandals.  :)  Or at least she does according to Nora.  (Avi is my go-to color expert!  But Nora is doing awesome with her colors ...

Nora ate breakfast at home.  For lunch she ate most of fish (bass), a large serving of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate green beans, and a large serving of applesauce. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon.  It's always fun to have a friend like Atley!!  Lots of laughs and good times!  :)  So here's Nora watching Atley come down the slide on her back, head-first; which is really never a good idea!  She didn't whimper or cry, BUT she also didn't do it again! She laid at the top of the slide like she was going to do it again, but made a better decision.  :) Nora played in the igloo and also jumped off the igloo.  I like taking pictures of her when she's jumping because her hair is always flying.  By the way she had a very good morning and listened well and her overall mood was very positive.  A fun morning. Nora sat for lots of Story Time, but got tired of that and played with the food toys.  First she moved the yello...

Nora ate peaches and no whole wheat bagel for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bite or two of sausage and hamburger pizza with whole wheat pizza crust, tomato sauce, pineapple, olives, and peppers.  She ate pineapple on the side. The first two pictures go together.  Linnea took a little nap first thing this morning and ate breakfast a few minutes later than the others.  So in the first picture you can see what she was watching while eating breakfast.  For your viewing pleasure we have Nora and Atley jumping onto the mattress!!  A little later Linnea was still eating and was laughing at Nora jumping; oh man, Nora LOVED that!  The entertainment level increased a few degrees!!  "Oh! You like that!?! Well watch this!!"  I like how Nora's hair is sticking straight up in the 2nd picture. And these next two pictures go together too.  Nora does this just about every day and I love it.  She gets a doll and covers it with a doll blanke...
