Nora ate cheerios and bites of banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of ground beef, no whole grain pita bread, ate most of olives, tomatoes, and avocados, and a large serving of watermelon.  Nora is a great example for her many many "thank you's!!"  All of the kids were saying "thank you" at breakfast and lunch!  Thank you Nora!  :) So this first picture is blurry, but hey, it's an action shot!!  Nora literally goes goofy whenever she sees Lauralea every morning and goes into MAJOR show-off mode!  She sprints for the blue balance beam to jump off and then jumps like a wild girl on the mattress.  So stinking funny!  One day last week we were outside playing when Lauralea came home early and Nora looked stunned!  Her face looked like, "what am supposed to do now!?!"  She suddenly sprints back and forth across the lawn as fast as her little legs could go!  It was just too cute!  "Lauralea is here and I HAVE to do ...

Nora ate bites of oatmeal and ate sliced apples for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of salmon, bite of dinner roll, ate a large serving of green beans, and a large serving of mangoes. We've already talked about this several times, but Nora's language is really starting to take off and it's so fun to be a part of that!  Her "thank you" is so precious and she says it for everything I do for her!!  Also, I told Momma Emily that Nora has been using the word "MOVE" a lot at Daycare when someone is impeding her progress or she thinks they're in her space, or she wants to get her bib, or get in the chair, or ...... and the list goes on!  Today while I was feeding Baby Svea -  Nora, Avi, and Hudson were also on the couch.  Nora wanted to sit directly beside me and yelled "MOVE" to Hudson and he said, "Honey, I'm not moving.  I'm sitting here!"  Isn't that hilarious!?!  Oh man that was so cute!!  Nora looked at him like ...

Nora ate bites of toasted whole wheat english muffin and ate oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of everything; Ground beef, whole wheat elbow noodles, peas, and applesauce. The first thing Nora did when she walked in was start playing with the puzzles.  So here's the story behind the first picture.  Nora was working on the puzzle that Avi is "fixing."  All the pieces are identically shaped, but the idea is to match the tails or heads to the correct animal.  At this point Nora doesn't care or understand that part, she's just happy to get the pieces to fit!!  Nora finished that puzzle, pushed it aside, and started another one.  Well Avilene saw what Nora was doing she immediately had to fix it.  :)  You are a great little fixer Avi!!  She really is a good problem solver. The kids built a "sidewalk" with the blocks and they did most of the work themselves.  I just added a few pieces to it.  They played...

Nora ate french toast and two servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she had a bite of paleo stew with chicken, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, green beans, and carrots!  She ate crackers and a large serving of tropical fruit. We were at the window to wave bye to Momma Emily this morning, but there happened to be a bird hopping around right in front of the window!  So I'm not sure if Nora ever did wave at Mommy!!  There were actually two birds, but one was closer and it was picking up little twigs and whatever for it's nest.  Then it flew off with it's mouth full of goodies! This first picture is from yesterday afternoon.  The kids are having so much fun outside this week as the weather is improving for outside play!!  Eventually we will probably go outside in the morning too, but right now it's just once a day in the afternoon. So I have to post a picture of the new arrival at Little Treasures!!  Svea (Avi's sister) is ...

Nora ate waffle and three servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate baked chicken, bite of whole grain tortilla, ate a large serving of corn, and a large serving of baked cinnamon apples. All the kids are really into doing puzzles right now!  Several times a day!  I was standing and talking to Lauralea and I didn't notice Nora had finished her puzzle.  She brought it over and laid in on my feet.  Haha!  I asked, "Oh, does that mean you're done?"  "Yah!"  We had a good laugh over that.  She has started the next phase of puzzle training - doing puzzles outside the gate which involves getting your own puzzles AND putting the completed puzzles back into the puzzle rack.  :)  The puzzle area is outside the gate for them to get away from the mobile babies!  And Nora is experiencing that first-hand with Linnea!  Linnea forced her way right onto Nora's puzzle this morning. I took this picture with Nora beside me and...

Nora ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of turkey burger, bites of whole wheat hamburger bun, ate lettuce and tomato, avocado, and two servings of cherries. So here's what's happening today: Hudson is gone until Wednesday.  We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend so the kids were busy.  Also, no school today so Kenzie and Riley are here most of the day (until Riley and Cooper's T-Ball game at 4:00) and the kids loved that.  I like this first picture of Nora; getting supervision from both sides.  Except she doesn't really need help anymore!  Totally nailing these puzzles now!  Nice job Nora.  :)    Nora and Atley were playing with the cars and car ramps you see in the picture.  A short time later Nora was reading a book, but not wanting to give up her position with the car ramp yet.  So she was standing over the car ramp guarding it and reading.  Silly Nora.  Speak...

Nora ate most of her breakfast: brown rice and raisins.  For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, and tomatoes.  She had a bite of whole wheat dinner roll and ate a large serving of apricots.  At breakfast I always ask the kids "what'd you do last night?" It's one of our rituals and over the years there are some hilarious stories associated with these "disclosures."  Haha!  I always ask Nora; "Did you play with Birdie?"  "Yes."  "Did you play on the swings?"  "Yes."  "Did you chase squirrels?"  "Yes."  :)  When I asked Avilene that question she answered;  "No, I chased soccer ball."  :) The kids had so much fun outside yesterday afternoon and today is another beautiful day.  We played with bubbles for the first time this spring and the kids had a blast.  In this first picture below you can see the bubble wand in Riley's hand and she's r...

Nora ate french toast and half of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pulled pork, bite or two of whole wheat toast, ate a large serving of peas, and two servings of watermelon. Ok, Momma Emily, I think we need to have a discussion about Nora in her presence every morning. Ha!  Whenever we do that she has a much better day!!  She had a couple of challenging moments this morning, but they all do!!  She was a good listener and it was great. This first picture cracks me up.  Atley, in typical Atley style and character, watched Nora put on a mask and then Atley put on all the rest that she could find.  I think she has five of them!  The part that was funny to me is that she's still able to see and if you look close at Atley's mirror reflection you can see the corner of her eye.  Nora's mask is upside-down, but she can see through the eye holes too and is checking out Atley's arrangement!!  (Which Nora found quite amusing!) Here ...

Nora ate most of whole wheat toast and two servings of mangoes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef with marinara sauce on whole wheat spaghetti noodles, no squash, and ate a large serving of fruit salad.  I got everyone their food at breakfast and then informed them, "I'm gonna put Baby Linnea in bed for her nap."  Hudson said, "Ok, that's fine with me."  Haha!!  (Ok, thank you Chairman Boyle: "All in favor of the motion say YES!!") While Nora and I were snuggling this morning, before anyone else had arrived and the chance of distractions were minimal, I gave Nora a little Color Quiz.  (With signs and without signs. Totally nailed it.)  I knew she was catching on to the color signs we do, but I didn't realize she had it that well!  Great job Nora.  I'm super proud of you!!  Rather than explain it here I'll tell you in person how the Quiz was administered!  Haha!!  Later in the morning I was thinking about it so wh...

Nora ate most of whole wheat bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate shrimp, brown rice, most of stir fry vegetables, and ate raspberries. I have a note left over from yesterday afternoon.  Nora was playing with the doll clothes and working hard to fit herself into a tiny one-piece thing!  I realized what she was doing when she started getting more furious by the second and was soon screaming and crying!  Sorry Nora, but that only fits the dolls.  :) Nora was sitting on my lap after Mommy dropped her off and she saw a school bus drive by.  Nora loves her school buses!!  "Coo bus, coo bus."  Then she obviously associated that with Riley going to school.  "Ri Ri, Ri Ri."  I wanted to hear her say "school bus" again so I said, "Hey Nora, say school."  She said, "bus."  Haha!  That made me laugh!!  "School" and "bus" just go together!! Here are some pictures from this morning.  First ...

Nora ate bites of breakfast: bran cereal and raisins.  For lunch she ate chicken salad with lettuce, tomatoes, olives, and peppers.  She had bites of whole wheat pita bread, ate avocado, and half of pears.  At lunch time I said to Nora, "Use your spoon for your avocado."  (As it was oozing between her fingers.)  Hudson immediately came to her defense; "But she's a baby Gary."  "But she's learning to use her spoon."  (Over-ruled and denied Counsel!)   Ha! These first two pictures were taken first thing this morning and every one was doing the "monkey see, monkey do" thing!  Someone took off their socks, so everyone had to take off their socks, and then put the socks in their cubbies!  In the 2nd picture Hudson started scooting across the floor with his head down like a snow plow!  So everyone had to do it then!!  (The top picture is thin so it doesn't really look like two pictures!!) Nora was laying her head on the Baby'...

Nora ate half of cream of wheat cereal and bite of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of baked beef kabobs with meat, peppers, zucchini, and mushrooms.  She ate brown rice and a large serving of pineapple.  For some reason the cream of wheat stayed very liquid so it was breakfast in a cup and sucked through a straw.  They actually thought that was pretty cool.  Hudson said, "This is really good!"  Ha!  Which means it's worth a picture!!  You'll not see Nora's plums in the picture - she had a bite and pushed them as far to the edge of the highchair as possible without pushing them off the side.  Ha!  Ok, I get the point! Hudson yelled, "Nora's on the baby!  Nora's on the baby!"  I looked around the changing table and she was no longer on the baby.  And of course the baby is grinning hugely at me.  I have a couple of comments about this.  First, it always cracks me up when they squeal on each ...

Nora ate most of waffle and two servings of fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate several bites of shepherd's pie with meat, carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and green beans.  She also ate half of whole grain tortillas, and ate cherries. The first picture - fun times with Atley.  They were laughing uproariously and you can't listen and watch them having fun without laughing too!  Atley is a bit blurry in this picture, for good reason, but if you look closely you can see she's having a blast as well as Nora. Nora loves Linnea just like ALL the daycare kids love Linnea!  And it's pretty obvious why!!  Linnea loves the interaction with everyone and she never yells or complains about what they do to her.  Nora LOVES to cover Linnea's head with doll blankets, every day, many times a day!!  More than once I've said to one of the kids; "Please move off of Linnea.  You have to be gentle with the baby."  Linnea is no help whatso...

Nora ate most of french toast and two servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of "Whole 30" chili with meat, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, peppers, and spices.  She had a couple bites of whole wheat dinner roll, and ate tropical fruit. Here's a picture of Hudson and Nora waving to Daddy Ryan at the window this morning!  Hudson said, "I wanna wear a mask to wave at him!!"  Ha!  Hey Ryan, Nora had her socks off before you drove by; before I took this picture!  Hilarious!!  You'd barely closed the door when she dropped to the floor and yanked them off!  The following picture was taken pretty early this morning as well.  Atley and Nora were at their old bouncing spot (it's been a few weeks since they've bounced) and when Hudson squeezed in to bounce too Nora was not thrilled about that!!  :)  Right before I took the picture Nora was relaxing, laying back on the mattress, and then Bubba showed up!!  Ha! ...
